Running alongside the Henley Literary Festival each Autumn, the Children’s festival is an unmissable chance for budding bookworms to come face-to-face with their favourite authors. 2019’s authors included Konnie Huq, Dougie Poynter, Julian Clary, Chris Riddell, Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, Benji Davies, Laura Bates and Bryony Gordon.

As well as a jam-packed line-up of public events, we also run a special programme just for schools which in 2019 welcomed Michael Rosen, Onjali Q. Rauf, M.G. Leonard, Francesca Simon, Harry Heape, Joseph Coelho and Sophy Henn.

Reading doesn’t come super easy to child 3…she loses concentration, goes all floppy and whines ‘you do it mummy’. Then we went to the Henley Literary Festival where she listened to Harriet Muncaster talking about Isadora Moon and it lit her fire! She’s now reading three books all by herself…goes to sleep reading and wakes up wanting to read!
