Festival FAQs

The Festival will take place online from Saturday 26 September – Sunday 4 October, 2020

We also hold one-off events throughout the year so check our What’s On page regularly for details or sign up to our newsletter.

Gold Friends can book from Friday 10th July. Friends can book from Monday 13th July. Tickets go on general sale on Monday 20th July. To find out more about becoming a Friend click here.

When tickets go on sale you can either book online via our What’s On page, or by calling the box office on 01491 579548 from 10am-12pm, Monday to Friday.

We cannot accept ticket bookings via email.

Telephone bookings can be made between 10am-12pm, Monday to Friday.

There are no physical tickets for our online Festival in 2020; for our book-and-ticket events if you have opted for collection rather than postal delivery you can pick up your book from The Bell Bookshop (52 Bell Street, Henley, RG9 2BL)

There is no physical box office for the 2020 online Festival.

If you call the box office we can add you to the waiting list for your chosen sold out event. If tickets become available we will contact the waiting list by email and tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. Waiting lists will be closed shortly before the festival begins.

Tickets sometimes become available on the day of the event, so it is always worth going to the venue 30 minutes before the event starts and asking for tickets (these will be cash only).

For the online Festival you will receive an email conformation when you book and then a link on the day of the event.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details.

If you are driving to Henley, please allow plenty of time to find a parking space. Please use one of the public car parks around Henley, Kings Road RG9 2DG max 3 hours, Greys Road RG9 2FA max 3 hours, Henley Station RG9 1AY all day, Rugby Club RG9 2JA all day until 7pm. There is limited visitor parking at Phyllis Court for those attending events there.

Once the festival is underway we may not be able to answer the box office line as frequently. If you can’t find the answer to your question above then please leave us a message or email info@henleyliteraryfestival.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Adult events last for approximately 1 hour and Children’s events last for approximately 45minutes.

If you’re ticket included a book then you can collect it from The Bell Bookshop (52 Bell Street, Henley, RG9 2BL) or have it posted to you.

Yes! Please arrive in good time before your event starts as latecomers will be left on shore.
