Founded in 2007, the Henley Literary Festival has firmly established itself as one of the UK’s most popular festivals, bringing together authors and audiences from far and wide in an annual meeting of minds set across our stunning riverside hometown. For nine days each autumn, bestselling novelists and leading historians rub shoulders with major figures from entertainment, sport, politics, literature and much more besides. Past speakers include Theresa May, Kevin Keegan, David Suchet, Nadiya Hussain, John Major, Michael Morpurgo, Paula Hawkins, Paul Mer ton, Mary Berry, Russell Brand and the Archbishop of York.

Our events take place in intimate venues and beautiful spaces across the historic town of Henley on Thames, including the stunning members-only Phyllis Court Club, the wonderful

Christ Church, and a glass topped boat that cruises along the Thames. Our venues set us apart from the rest and help make us a wonderfully unique literary festival with a dedicated audience from the local area, as well as from all corners of the UK.

Sponsorship opportunities are now open for the 2020 Festival. If you are interested in being involved, please email for more details.
